My journey into herbalism and holistic care has been one of deep exploration, learning, and sharing. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to study with indigenous parteras and curanderas in Mexico, where I learned techniques like closing the bones and womb massage. I’ve also been shaped by Black Southern midwifery practices and the rich herbal traditions of the Caribbean. These experiences, along with my work as a clinical herbalist, doula, and lactation consultant, have helped me weave together diverse systems of care, including Ayurvedic postpartum practices and the African botanical legacy.

Education and access are at the core of everything I do. I believe in making healing knowledge approachable and empowering others to reconnect with their innate ability to heal. Supporting women, particularly during the postpartum period, is my passion—it’s a time of transformation and restoration that deserves deep care. Through nutrition, herbal support, and sharing ancestral wisdom, I aim to bring the best of both natural and modern approaches to wellness.

This passion has led to the creation of Modern Herbal Academy, where I focus on sharing the knowledge and tools needed to make holistic care accessible to everyone. Through education and community building, our goal is to help others recognize and harness the power of plants and ancestral wisdom while also nurturing the next generation of herbalists to carry this knowledge forward, ensuring it remains rooted in and thrives within our communities for generations to come.
